Accessing Neurocare
If you, or someone you know, has a neurological condition or symptoms, you can access our community neurological nursing and health system navigation services at no cost to you.
Our services are funded through:
- WA Department of Health for initial consultations and people over 65 years or ineligible for NDIS.
- National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) for eligible participants.
The Neurological Council of WA is a registered NDIS provider of community nursing care. We provide the same high-quality practice standards to all our clients.
Neurocare is funded by the Department of Health and this service is available at no cost to you, we simply require a written or telephone referral.
We take referrals from:
- General practitioners
- Health professionals
- Community service workers
- Regional assessment agencies
- Families and friends of potential clients
- Primary carers
- You can also make a self referral.

Are you eligible for NDIS funding? You may choose the Neurological Council to provide your community neurological nursing services. If so, the level of service will be negotiated with you and clearly stated in your Service Agreement with us.

Neurocare is available state-wide and via TeleNurse.
We offer pre-discharge in-person hospital visits, home and care facility visits across the Perth Metropolitan, South West, Great Southern, Mid West, Peel and Wheatbelt regions of Western Australia.
